Digital video surveillance of natural enemy activity on Diaphorina citri (Hemiptera: Liviidae) colonies infesting citrus in the southern California urban landscape

•Syrphids, green lacewings, and T. radiata were key natural enemies of D. citri.•Argentine ants were the most commonly filmed arthropod visiting immature D. citri.•Argentine ants, syrphid and green lacewing larvae were active day and night.•Argentine ants significantly reduced the abundance of D. citri’s natural enemies.•Our results highlights the value of digital videography in biocontrol research.
