摘要
•The electrochemical reduction of graphene oxide was investigated by in-situ FTIR.•A multistep mechanism of the reduction was identified.•The generation and degeneration of oxygen containing functional groups and C=C bonds were observed as a function of the electrochemical potential.•The Multivariate Curve Resolution - Alternating Least Squares (MCR-ALS) method was employed for the data evaluation.
