Abstract
In article number 1700089, Qiang Cheng, Tie Jun Cui, and co-workers propose an acoustic magnifying lens based on transformation acoustics and effective medium theory, which is employed to realize far field sub-wavelength resolution imaging over a broad bandwidth. The high-resolution imaging effect is especially advantageous for the compact size and matched impedance at the interface, which are especially favorable in acoustic engineering.
