Abstract
•Photosynthetic abatement of diesel exhaust gas was tested in tubular photobioreactor.•15% centrate concentration (15%-C) and an L/G ratio of 15 allowed 89–97% CO2 removal.•Almost a complete removal of toluene was obtained in all stages of photobioreactor.•A complete removal of N (88–95%) and P (∼100%) during wastewater (15%-C) treatment.
