Force-thermal coupling analysis of the docking basket for satellite thermal test

In order to accurately analyze the effect of temperature difference on the stress distribution of the test docking basket under vacuum and low temperature environment, according to the measured temperature data of the docking basket, the force-thermal coupling model of the docking basket in vacuum and low temperature environment was established. The equivalent stress is 275MPa, which exceeds the yield limit of the material under the force-thermal coupling condition. Under the condition of normal temperature and pressure, the equivalent stress is 51.6MPa under the same load condition, indicating that the stress caused by the temperature difference is much greater than the mechanical load. Non-destructive testing of the welds of the docking basket was carried out by the liquid penetrant inspection(LPI). The crack was found in the location of the stress, and the results of the simulation analysis were verified.
