Abstract
Recently, gold nanorods (AuNRs) have been developed and widely used in chemical and biological analysis because of its physical and chemical properties. The gene of antimicrobial resistance, Vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), was studied by tagging to AuNRs. The aim of this work is to develop new diagnostic DNA techniques to be shorter time detection and more sensitivity by using DNA light technique. The results were discussed on the synthesis of gold nanorods by using seed-mediated growth method. The optimum condition; silver nitrate and L-ascorbic acid were studied via UV-visible Spectroscopy and Transmission electron microscope (TEM). The AuNRs can be tailored by DNA-VRE and shown the specific binding in various conditions and can be shown that this technique is capable to detect this drug-resistant system and developing to clinical samples further.
