Doped poly (2, 5-benzimidazole) membranes for high temperature polymer electrolyte fuel cell: Influence of various solvents during membrane casting on the fuel cell performance

ABPBI membrane was prepared with four different solvents, viz. MSA,TFA, formic acid and sulfuric acid via solvent casting method. All the membranes were doped with 60% phosphoric acid. An extensive analysis e.g., mechanical, thermal, crystalinity, morphology and proton conductivity measurements were conducted to explore the effect of solvent on ABPBI based membrane. Fuel cell performance test was carried out for all four membranes with the help of single cell test.
