Bridging the gap between climate science and regional-scale biodiversity conservation in south-eastern Australia

•A suite of biodiversity assessment methods were developed for evaluating climate futures for south eastern Australia.•A climate change driven reduction in biodiversity of between 3 and 20 percent by 2070 is forecasted.•Climate driven environmental change varies across the region, more heavily impacting inland and low altitude areas.•Climate informed conservation benefits of conserving, revegetating and building habitat links are mapped across the region.•Novel mapping and interactive tools were developed to display results.
