Overexpression of Pofut1 and activated Notch1 may be associated with poor prognosis in breast cancer

•Pofut1, N1IC(activated Notch1) and Slug expression were found to be significantly increased in IDC.•High expression of Pofut1, Slug and N1IC were found to be associated with tumor aggressiveness.•High expression of Pofut1 was found to be significantly associated with high expressions of N1IC and Slug in IDC.•High Pofut1 and N1IC protein expression were more likely to be associated with a worsen survival in breast cancer patients.
