Perioperative use of angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin receptor antagonists

•Maintaining ACE inhibitors or ARBS in the hours prior to surgery may cause more hypotension than withholding them.•Some of the studies show some cases of refractory hypotension in the group maintaining these drugs.•Mortality might be increased in the group which maintains the treatment.
