Effect of Al content on magnetic properties of Fe-Al Non-oriented electrical steel

•Microstructure, texture, magnetic property and magnetic domain in Fe-Al were studied.•Grain size decrease as Al increase, while no significant changes in texture.•High Al has low magnetic flux density and maximum permeability.•Hysteresis loss increase, but eddy-current and anomalous loss crease by Al addition.•Optimal grain sizes were calculated by parameters achieved by loss separation.
