Abstract
A coelomycetous fungus isolated from dead stems of Bulbophyllum thouars produced conidia with single apical and basal appendages. Combined morphological comparison and phylogenetic analysis based on four gene regions (ITS, LSU, beta-tubulin and tef1) confirm this fungus as a new taxon which is named as Pestalotiopsis bulbophylli sp. nov.
