Abstract
The DNA binding proficiency of ferrocenyl ureas (F1–F9) investigated by CV, UV and viscometry establish them as decent DNA binders with electrostatic mode of interaction. The compounds also revealed good antioxidant activities. DFT based HOMO and LUMO energies correlate well with experimentally determined redox potential values.
