Abstract
Major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder, are often comorbid with significant metabolic disturbances. We aimed to identify key brain- and blood-based metabolic markers associated with development of tricyclic antidepressant treatment resistance in a rodent model. Additionally, we explored the metabolomic profile associated with antidepressant response to lithium augmentation in these animals.
