Level of agricultural mechanization development of six provinces in the mid-southern district of China

To solve the imbalance problem of the mechanization, the authors made comprehensive evaluation about the level of development of agricultural mechanization and with the grey correlation analysis and weighting function method, provided grey correlation analysis for the factors affecting the development of agricultural mechanization of six provinces in the mid-southern district of China in the last five years. The results show that the overall level of agricultural mechanization, the total animal husbandry and fishery output and the agricultural diesel consumption are main factors in affecting regional mechanization development. Grey relational degree of each index determines the index weight. The authors calculated comprehensive evaluation indices reflecting the regional development of agricultural mechanization and then ranked the level of development of agricultural mechanization of the six provinces; and analyzed the diversities of development and provided recommendation for balanced develop-ment of each province.
