Genetic variants in circadian rhythm (CR) genes have been associated with vulnerability to PTSD and related neuropsychiatric disorders. In this study, we assessed whether previously identified CR variants predict PTSD severity following motor vehicle collision (MVC) and major thermal burn injury (MThBI), and whether such influence is stress severity- or sex-dependent.
