摘要

•The carbon fluxes of grey alder stands of different ages were studied during five-year time series measurements.•NPP may be highly variable, depending on both site and weather conditions.•No correlation was found between soil respiration and stand age.•In the first forest generation the annual organic C input to soil exceeded Rh.
