Abstract
•The ITER relevant control system was developed and it consists of the gyrotron subsystem control unit, the TL subsystem control unit, and the main controller.•The coordinated operation of gyrotron and TL was executed by network-based communication of these three controllers.•Synchronized coordinated operation of gyrotron and TL was successful. The total time to change RF power direction with RF pause and resume operation took 1.5s and ITER requirement was achieved.
