The Association of IL-6 and IL-8 within 72 Hours Post-Transplant and Short and Long Term Outcome

Previous studies have shown that cytokine and chemokine measurements (i.e. IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, TGF-β) in either donor tissue or blood short before or after lung transplantation are associated with both short and long-term post-transplant outcome. We aimed to associate early post-operative IL-6 and IL-8 measurement in BAL with outcome.
