Safety Problems Associated with Extemporaneously-Prepared Liquid Tacrolimus in US Children After Heart Transplantation
Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation(2017)
摘要
Tacrolimus is a life-saving transplant medication required to prevent organ rejection. Anecdotal reports suggest errors in compounding tacrolimus into a liquid solution, to administer to children who cannot swallow capsules, has been associated with serious safety issues. We conducted a survey of US heart transplant programs to determine the scope of the problem, and to engage centers regarding potential solutions.
