摘要

•The Ag/GO/g-C3N4 composite photocatalyst was obtained.•The GO acts as the electron mediator in the composite photocatalyst.•The composite has much higher photocatalytic activity than that of pure one.•The matched Fermi level provides the favorable charge transfer in the composite.
