Abstract
In May 2005, the lung allocation score (LAS) replaced waiting list time as the main method of allocating lungs for adult transplantation. Prior studies have reported racial differences in lung transplant outcomes and access. The effect of the LAS transition on lung transplant access has also been explored. Our study aims to consider racial/ethnic disparities in post-transplant outcomes in the context of the LAS transition, and we hypothesized that LAS implementation narrowed these outcome disparities.
