Abstract
Introduction: Large anterior skull base meningiomas present a surgical challenge to even the most experienced skull base surgeons. Recently, there have been several reports of endoscopic endonasal approaches (EEA) for the resection of anterior skull base meningiomas. Tumor size, however, continues to be a limiting factor for complete removal, especially for less experienced skull base surgeons. We report our results of utilizing a staged EEA for the resection of these large and giant anterior skull base meningiomas evaluating the efficacy and usage of staging over time.
