A quite simple, sensitive and visual detection method was developed for in situ determination of Vibrio parahaemolyticus within only 1 h, from contaminated shrimp sampling to results. This method totally avoids cross-contamination during sample preparation and abandons bulky instruments, revealing great potential for in situ detection of pathogenic bacteria from seafoods.
