摘要
•A large sample of 300 critically ill patients consecutively admitted to our ICU was enrolled in this study.•The MAF of polymorphic CHGA−415 loci in the promoter area was significantly different between critically ill patients who survived and those who did not survive.•Survival analysis showed that there were significant differences between the CHGA−415T/C mutation group and the wild-type group (TT genotype). The mortality in the mutant group was significantly higher than that in the wild-type group.•Binary logistic analysis showed that CHGA−415T/C polymorphism was an independent risk factor for the mortality of critically ill patients.•Our study is the first to evaluate the effects of CHGA genetic polymorphism on the prognosis of critically ill patients.
