Single Fraction External Beam Radiotherapy for Localised Prostate Cancer: a Planning Study

Aims: The logical end point of progressive hypofractionation is to deliver treatment in a single fraction. This has been done in small clinical studies using high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. However, the less invasive nature of external beam treatment is appealing. We conducted a planning study using stereotactic radiotherapy with the aim of achieving similar doses and constraints to HDR brachytherapy.
