Abstract
In low resource settings, pregnancy prevention, screening and early diagnosis of HIV, and linkage to care (both HIV and antenatal) are key to reducing HIV transmission. Adolescent women are an important target group because they have high rates of both early childbearing and HIV. However, few community-level data on the subject exist. We examined associations between pregnancy and newly diagnosed HIV among adolescents 13-19 years who participated in Home-based HIV Counseling and Testing (HBCT).
