Abstract
•A double-doped LDH container film with Ce(III) and V2O74− ions was fabricated.•The highly oriented ZnAlCe/V2O7-LDH film was uniform and compact.•Ce(III) and V2O74− significantly enhance the impedance of LDH film.•This film is capable of offering an effective protection for aluminum alloy.
