Abstract
•Phytochemical and bioactivity studies on lichen (Umbilicaria antarctica) from maritime Antarctica has been carried out.•Isolation and identification of seven compounds: methyl orsellinate, 2,3-dihydroxypropyl orsellinate, orcinol, orsellinic acid, lecanoric acid, ribitol and arabitol.•A joint action study on binary mixtures of isolated compounds has been carried out.
