摘要

•Coupling morphology to genetic phylogeny can reveal the identity of penaeids.•New genetic barcodes were added to GenBank, belonging to three penaeid species.•Morphology, morphometric and molecular data were assessed as tools for stock management.•The results of this study may be beneficial for hatcheries’ stocks selection.
