Research and simulation on minimized common-mode voltage SVPWM modulation algorithm for voltage source rectifier
2016 International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis (CMD)(2016)
Abstract
The high power domestic and commercial variable-frequency air conditioners powered by three-phase AC power supply have been widely used nowadays. In order to achieve much higher power factor at grid side, it is required for the prestage circuits of the air conditioners, the AC-DC converters, to adopt power factor correction (PFC) schemes, such as voltage source rectifiers (VSR). At first, what presented in the paper is the theoretical derivation of the CMV expression on the DC link based on the generalized mathematical model of three-phase VSR. Then, the paper designs a minimized CMV SVPWM modulation algorithm using non-zero vectors to replace the zero vectors; as well as a dead-time arrangement which has no effect on CMV. Then the above theoretical analysis is verified via simulation by means of MATLAB/SIMULINK.
