Abstract
Mechanically flexible photonic-crystal cavities consisting of disconnected Si-column arrays are fabricated on Ge nanomembranes by a novel membrane assembly approach. Photoniccrystal cavity resonances are clearly observed in the strain-enhanced photoluminescence spectra.
