Relationship Between Albuminuria During the First Year and Antibody-Mediated Rejection in Protocol Biopsies in Kidney Transplant Recipients

•According to our knowledge, there have been no published studies linking the predictive value of albuminuria to histologic damage observed in protocol biopsies.•Our report notes a possible association with and significant predictive value of albuminuria in detecting subclinical histologic damage of acute antibody-mediated rejection in protocol biopsies.•Albuminuria to 6 months after transplantation significantly predicted cg ≥ 1 and ptc ≥ 1.
