摘要
The parabolic equation (PE) is an approximation of the wave equation, which models energy propagating in a cone centered on the paraxial direction. Recently, the PE method has been widely used to analyze the electromagnetic propagation and electromagnetic scattering problems. The computational resources can be reduced by the PE method when compared with the rigorous methods. Moreover, higher accuracy can be obtained by the PE method than the high-frequency methods. The slit-step Fourier transform (SSFT) algorithm plays an important role for solving the parabolic equation.
