Fluorine-free low surface energy organic coating for anti-stain applications

摘要
•Oleophobicity was obtained in tris-trimethylsilypropyl (M3T) containing methacrylate copolymer through novel molecular design and tuning of surface energy.•Applied the fluorine-free silicone based material to masonry and fabrics, good anti-stain performance was proved.•The effects of coating surface chemistry, polymer concentration in coating formulation, copolymer molecular weight and used solvent on coating anti-stain performance were systematically studied.•Room temperature cure feasibility and low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) formulation were also demonstrated for the system in order to meet practical application requirements.
