Optimization of optical network carrying mix of 1Tb/s 5sc-DP-16QAM and 400Gb/s 4sc-DP-QPSK superchannels reveals that subcarrier power pre-emphasis together with 12.5GHz guard band can maximize capacity-reach performance of each superchannel, while guard band alone can't.
