Current situation and prospect of distributed generation in China

Recent years, a large number of energy policy has introduced by Chinese government to promote the development of renewable, and improve energy efficiency, reduce the environmental pollution, increasing the security of energy supply to ensure the competitiveness of the national economy. Under this background, the distributed generation has increasingly development in China, and its proportion in the whole power supply system has a rapid increase, its position in the power industry is also more and more important. This paper first introduces the types of distributed generation in China and the corresponding present situation, including the capacity and distribution situation, etc. In addition, it has made some sort of the distributed generation related policies and regulations and standards in China. Based on the research of present situation, this paper analyzes challenge of the developing the distributed power generation system in policy system, technology, market economy in China, and puts forward the countermeasures.
