Abstract
This paper presents an optimal automatic residential load planning including plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and energy storage devices. The goal of planning is minimizing the payment of consumer. The loads are divided to two categories, controllable appliances and uncontrollable appliances. Energy storage system in two types, centralized and distributed, has simulated in this paper. PHEV and Storage devices are capable to charge and sell the energy to the utility. Final plan of smart home gives an optimal on/off status of controllable appliances that achieve the minimum cost payment, while charging/discharging status of PHEV and energy storage devices are specified. The simulation of smart home planning problem is done in GAMS software environment under different scenarios. The results confirm the effectiveness of proposed framework for smart home planning.
