摘要
In the studies on Kyrgyz population of the two-spot ladybird Adalia hipunctata turanica L., some individuals producing exclusively or predominantly female progeny were found. The female-biased sex ratio was preserved in five studied generations, and it was maternally inherited. DNA analysis by means of PCR followed by the sequencing of amplified products allowed us to conclude that bacteria causing the female-biased sex ratio in A. b. turanica belong to the genus Rickettsia.
