摘要
A new cubane cluster [Co-4(dbhb)(4)(mu(3)-OCH3)(4)(CH3OH)(4)] (1, where Hdbhb is 3,5-dibromo-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde) has been synthesized by solvothermal method. Complex 1 was characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. 1 is tetranuclear cobalt cluster with a cubane topology, in which the metal ions and the oxygen atoms from the methanol ligands occupy the alternate vertices of the cubane. There is one independent Co(II) ion, assuming a distorted octahedral geometry with cis-angles O-Co-O in the range of 81.3(1)-101.0(2) and Co-O bonds of 2.009(4)-2.212(4) angstrom from three mu(3)-OCH3, a dichelating dbhb ligand, and one CH3OH molecule.
