Nemophora prodigellus (Zeller, 1853) (Lepidoptera, Adelidae): the first definite record in Poland, with comments on the protection of its habitat

Abstract Nemophora prodigellus has been definitely recorded in Poland for the first time. Its habitus, i.e. wings, head and genitalia, are described and photographed. The moth’s distribution, biology and habitat requirements are commented on. Problems involving the management of open protected habitats and their plant and animal species are discussed.
