Abstract
Objectives: T2DM is associated with platelet hyperreactivity and a hypercoagulable state, supporting the evidence of an increased risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). We have previously shown that platelet-associated TF (pTF) is increased in CAD patients compared to healthy subjects (HS). The aim of this study was to assess whether T2DM affects pTF expression and the overall prothrombotic potential in stable angina (SA+) patients.
