摘要
•Anticipating the timing of incoming self-initiated sensations is critical to sensory prediction and the attenuation of self-produced sensations.•The sensorimotor system predicts by default that self-initiated sensations occur immediately after an action.•Training with temporally delayed, self-initiated, auditory sensations results in an attenuated cortical response to these delayed auditory events.
