The S/N of the seismic data from these areas is low, so it is difficult to image well. To image well, a high-density seismic survey is required to effectively suppress interferences. The location of the traditional shot-hole shooting method is the preferred layer on the basis of the near surface survey. That is not only costly for projects, but also produces results for imaging. By analyzing the near surface structure and the ghost reflection response of the thick LVL in this paper, a novel method is proposed: shooting close to the ground surface to reduce the ghost's impact on data quality, expand the bandwidth, and improve the S/N ratio. The theoretical analysis, site-point test and 2D lines test show that the method is feasible. Besides improving seismic data quality, this method greatly reduces the drilling difficulty and lowers the survey costs in complex areas. This research provides an economical and feasible shooting method in similar regions for implementing high density and efficient seismic data acquisition.
