摘要
•Nine kinds of activated carbon (AC) were prepared using microwave irradiation.•Phytic acid was used as the activating agent.•The carbon properties were more affected by impregnation ratio than power.•Well-developed mesoporous structures were obtained on the carbons.•The carbons showed favorable to surface chemistry, especially surface acidity.
