Quality of life and relationship satisfaction of patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

•QoL of patients with OCD was poor and their relationship satisfaction was moderate.•Severity of OCD was not linked to QoL or relationship satisfaction.•Improving QoL or relationship satisfaction and reducing OCD should be addressed separately in treatment.•Improving co-morbidity and the capacity to work might improve QoL.•Treating depressive symptoms and the perceived interaction with partners might improve relationship satisfaction.
