Abstract
This paper discusses the advantage of Voltage Source Converter (VSC) based multi-terminal HVDC transmission system for integrating off-shore wind power generations with on-shore AC grid. A new hybrid protection and control scheme has been proposed which ensures robust performance during system disturbances, smooth operation and power sharing coordination between grid side converters.
