Experimental validation of response function of a NaI (Tl) detector modeled with Monte Carlo codes

摘要
This paper reports on the simulation of the response function of a phi 3" x 3" NaI (Tl) detector, using the FLUKA and MCNPX codes. These models were validated against extensive experimental data and used to benchmark various aspects of the response function. Comparisons show good agreement between both codes and experiments for different geometrical arrangements and gamma-ray energies.
