摘要
•Combustion efficiency decreases rapidly at high velocities for very lean H2 flame.•Occurrence of flame tip opening leads to the decrease in combustion efficiency.•Increasing inlet temperature has combined favorable effects on flame tip opening.•Combustion efficiency is notably increased as mixture is preheated by 50–200K.
