Abstract

•Soluble and enzymatically active GSE-BLs were firstly expressed in B. licheniformis and P. pastoris.•Pure and active GSE-BL-B and GSE-BL-P were obtained after one-step His6 tag affinity chromatography.•Full length GSE-BL-P showed enzymatic activity because of glycolysation.•Mature GSE-BL-B and GSE-BL-P showed similar enzymatic kinetics as GSE-BL-E.
